REGISTRATION PACKAGE

  • Early Bird Registration!!! If teams are registered by May 1, 2012 the entry fee will be reduced to $650.00.
    Full payment due by May 7, 2012.
  • Standard registration fee for all teams is $750.00 and is due on or before June 1, 2012.
  • Each team must deliver a completed Team Registration Form with full payment to the Chamber of Commerce of Parry Sound, Town Office or Box 244, Parry Sound, ON P2A 2X4

NOTE:

  • The Registration Committee reserves the right to accept or reject late entries at its discretion.
  • Please note that entries are limited to 48 teams and registration closes as soon as 48 teams have registered (subject only to replacements from a waiting list should a team withdraw).

PRACTICE TIMES

  • Practice times will be available from June 3 to June 14.
  • Limited time available on Fri., June 15 for out of town teams.

PLEDGES
All Dragon Boat participants are strongly encouraged to collect pledges in advance of the event in order to ensure a significant contribution to Parry Sound Habitat for Humanity or the charity or non-profit of your choice.

The Pledge Trophy will be awarded to the top fundraising team for Habitat only.

Training for Steersperson (one will be provided upon a request. A trained steersperson is mandatory!

Dragon boat information session for team captains

Two practice sessions the week prior to the race

Teams may book additional practice sessions in May (on the river). Cost: $40.00 per hour (approx. $2.00 per person)

YOU WILL NEED
20 paddlers (minimum 8 females)

One drummer (We will try to assist you in filling your boat if you encounter problems)

Trained steersperson

Up to 3 spares for your team

Registration fee of $750 per team

Team Captain, Co-captain, and Pledge Captain

Liability Release Forms signed by every member — required for practice sessions

Completed Team Registration Form and full payment submitted by June 1, 2012 unless space is available.
